Because pink flamingos mean one of two things:
1. This is some cheap-ass allegory for the family
2. This could be Florida, where these things would be plastic
3. This could be Alabama, where these things would be shot

When you were born in the 70’s and growing up through the 80’s and 90’s, American society tried to teach us that boys and girls are equal... we just make them this way.

I’m not so sure I believe that anymore. Our little MeiMei was instantly attracted to these baby dolls without our help. She desperately wanted one and after we were driven into submission it was truly amazing to watch this natural nurturing ability develop.

She drives this damn stroller all over the house. She keeps track of her baby wherever it goes. She even tries to feed it with a pacifier or uhh... by the same means she was fed. It’s amazing.

And uhh, no... the boy could care less.

There are a few more pictures that will appear when you click right here.

Well, the oldest daughter has been seeing this guy over the Internet for about 2.5 years now. After an incredibly lengthy online relationship they finally pooled resources to send one of them over the pond.

Today he is finally coming to America to see his sweetums in person. After a nice long flight (made much longer by good ol’ Southern storms in the peachtree state) he arrived safely.

Welcome to America, Marko. Hope you like it here. We’re happy you made it :) Looks like your first meal of ribs at Applebee’s wasn’t too bad. We’re also told that his first taste of sweet tea was given this evening.

In case you’re wondering... yes, we’re getting the guns.

Easter 2010 has come and gone. This year, the Easter Bunny took advantage of the fact that BunBun can read rather well, so he crafted up a treasure hunt that had that the little adventurer all over the house looking for clues. They were hidden in all sorts of nooks and crannies. It drove him nuts. He loved it.

The end result? One awesome stash of toys including more Lego Star Wars, a Bubbly glider, a SpongeBob Connect-4 game and a ton of stuffed animals. Our house is a literal zoo now, thanks to the penguins taking over.

After BunBun’s mysterious treasure hunt, it was out to the back yard where MeiMei hunted down a basketful of eggs with her brother’s help. Lots of pictures were taken of this momentous event and they’ll be posted over here.

Later, BunBun also traipsed off to Toys R Us and picked out a rather awesome green 18” bike. He rode it for the first time today - so there you have it, another life event right on the holiday!

Oh and no, that’s not our kid with the evil Easter bunny there... but Dad just had to add it for good fun anyway.

But hey, this stuff is really cute. Really. You should subscribe to that too.

So yeah, head over there to check out the action.

You should also be aware that the MobileMe Galleries have been cleaned out due to some software changeover mishaps. Sorry about that, but I’ll get those albums back online as time permits.

She was a street hussy; she liked to walk around and befriend everyone. She loved to tackle birds and leave them as presents for her mother, just like any good cat should.

Samantha lived to the ripe old age of 17. Unfortunately, she had to be put to sleep on Thursday, February 11th, 2010 after coming down with a terrible, debilitating sickness.

She will be missed terribly. We love you.
